One Gate for Woodwinds and Percussion by Benjamin Marx and produced by MV Music.

Benjamin Marx (b. 1991) is an American composer of chamber, opera, and pop music. Born in Los Angeles, Ben graduated from Cornish College of the Arts. He is the assistant music director of the Degenerate Art Ensemble, a teaching assistant at the University of Washington, and the co-founder of Hatchback LLC. He also makes music as tov.

“When I graduated from college, I was worried that a composer had to be someone with everything figured out. Thank goodness that isn’t the case. If it were, I fear the world would be a very quiet place. Writing one gate was an exercise in letting go of control and encouraging variable interpretation, as large ensembles of flutes, clarinets, and percussion navigate ways around each other, using small cells to build big ideas.” -Benjamin Marx

MV Music is run by Melanie Voytovich and is dedicated to creating immersive experiences in accessible spaces.
